About
Founded in 2020, Tiny Birch is an artist-run residency program that takes place twice a year in rural Vermont.
Our Mission
Tiny Birch Residency aims to foster a peaceful space and uninterrupted
time to research, develop and grow their artistic practice in a setting of great natural beauty. Our goal is to provide artists with an accessible, equitable, and interdisciplinary residency, and sustained engagement with the organization’s audiences, resources and growing artistic network.
Our Location
Set on 14 acres of land near Warren, VT, Tiny Birch's log cabin is surrounded by the unspoiled beauty of the Green Mountains. The participating artists are encouraged to draw inspiration from the surrounding woods, mountains and waterfalls, etc. and to use the natural materials available.
Our Vision
Over the subsequent years, Tiny Birch endeavors to provide further opportunities for exposure, community building, and professional development for its residents and alumni. All residents are welcome to participate in our flat file program, and given web space on our digital archive, which is used for consideration for participation in future exhibitions and other opportunities. These efforts complement other activities and programming designed to create the conditions for a thriving and enduring arts network.
